I don’t know about your kids, but my daughter LOVES tactile activities.
When the weather gets gross and your kids want to play inside with sand, that is totally not going to happen!
I recently saw this idea somewhere and I decided to figure out how to do it. The steps are simple and the kids will LOVE it!
You will need:
5 lbs of white rice
gel food coloring
rubbing alcohol
sandwich zip bags
Measure out about 2 cups of rice into a baggie, add about two teaspoons of rubbing alcohol and a drop or two of gel food coloring. Your kids will LOVE mixing and swooshing the color into the rice. Add additional drops of coloring to get the color you need.
5lbs of rice will equate to 10 cups of rice. I chose to make 4 colors and leave 2 cups as just white.
If you have a water table or a sand table this will be a great place for your rice!
Enjoy!
