May 21, 2015
If you’re looking for a new and exciting book title for your eight- to twelve-year-old this summer, add The Worst Class Trip Ever, by New York Times best-selling author Dave Barry, to your list. Humor, mischief, mystery, trouble, and adventure are some of the reasons it is on our MK Book Club list this month, for readers ages eight- to twelve-years-olds! This novel, written in the voice of an eighth grader, is set in Washington, DC. Wyatt Palmer and his friends from Culver Middle School take us on a class trip to our nation’s capital, where they find themselves in a whole lot of trouble. Not only have their teachers lost patience with them, but they run into some mysterious men they’ve encountered before and suddenly find themselves in a fast-paced adventure with the monuments as a backdrop. The kids try to stay out of danger and out of the doghouse while trying to save the president from attack—or maybe not.

The book, released on May 5, can be purchased at http://books.disney.com/book/the-worst-class-trip-ever and is also available as an eBook. Click here to start reading now!
