25th Anniversary Season Includes Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Dirty Dancing, Once, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

California Musical Theatre announced the 2014-15 Broadway Sacramento season at Community Center Theater, a varied lineup featuring the Sacramento premiere of three hit musicals, two blockbusters brought back due to popular demand and a classic musical that has been produced at Music Circus but never before part of the Broadway Sacramento season.
From the return engagement of the Tony®, Grammy® and Olivier Award-winning mega-hit musical Jersey Boys, the story of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, through the magic of the brand new Tony-winning production of the classic tale Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella, the 25th Anniversary Broadway Sacramento Season features an exciting lineup. The season also includes Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story On Stage, the high-energy musical based on the beloved 1987 movie; a new production of the ever-popular Andrew Lloyd Webber & Tim Rice hit Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, featuring two stars from American Idol and Broadway fame; the return of the audience favorite RAIN: A Tribute to The Beatles, in a newly expanded version of the show; and eight-time Tony Award-winner Once, an unforgettable and unique musical based on the 2007 Academy Award-winning film. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat has been produced five times at Music Circus, but has not been in the Broadway Sacramento season.
Broadway Sacramento, sponsored by Wells Fargo and presented by the nonprofit California Musical Theatre, is the largest performing arts event in the Capital Region. All performances are at the Community Center Theater, 1301 L Street, in downtown Sacramento.

Season Ticket Information
Season tickets go on sale Monday, April 14 at 10:00 a.m. Current season subscribers will receive renewal packets in the mail by that day, and will have until June 6 to renew their season tickets and keep their seat locations. Season tickets are available only at the Wells Fargo Pavilion Box Office, 1419 H Street, Sacramento, or by calling (916) 557-1999.
Season subscribers save up to $123 off the price of a pair of single-show tickets, and they get the best seats available, since they can purchase season tickets before single-show tickets are available to the general public. Six-show subscriptions range from $130.25 to $393.55, depending on performance day/time and seating location. Subscribers will be able to opt out of RAIN: A Tribute to the Beatles, making a five-show subscription, which ranges from $111.10 to $330.20, depending on performance day/time and seating location. Single-show tickets will go on sale in late summer or early fall.

JERSEY BOYS
• Dates: November 5 – 22, 2014
• Performances: Performances begin on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 8:00 PM; running through Nov. 22 with performances Tuesday – Saturday at 8:00 PM; Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 PM; with a Sunday evening performance at 7:30 PM on Nov. 9 and a Monday evening performance at 8:00 PM on Nov. 17.
• Credits: The Jersey Boys creative team comprises two-time Tony Award®-winning director Des McAnuff, book writers Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, composer Bob Gaudio, lyricist, Bob Crewe and choreography by Sergio Trujillo.
• Broadway Sacramento History: 2007-08
• Broadway History: The musical began previews on Broadway on October 4, 2005 and officially opened on November 6, 2005 at the August Wilson Theatre. The Broadway production had 38 previews and is still running. It reached its 3,468th performance on March 23, 2014, making it the 14th longest-running show on Broadway.

DIRTY DANCING – THE CLASSIC STORY ON STAGE

• History: Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story On Stage was first performed at the Theatre Royal, Sydney, Australia on 18 November 2004. Following this success, Dirty Dancing broke more records in London where it opened on 24 October 2006 at the Aldwych Theatre. Following the end of the 2011 UK tour, Dirty Dancing has returned to London for a strictly limited season at the Piccadilly Theatre and a new UK tour will launch in Bristol in March 2014. The show has gone on to perform across the world.

JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT

• Brief Description: One of the most enduring shows of all time, Tim Rice & Andrew Lloyd Webber's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is the irresistible family musical about the trials and triumphs of Joseph, Israel's favorite son. Directed and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Andy Blankenbuehler, this new production will feature Broadway/television star Diana DeGarmo (Hairspray, Hair) as The Narrator and Broadway star Ace Young (Grease, Hair) as Joseph. RAIN: A TRIBUTE TO THE BEATLES
• Dates: March 17-22, 2015
• Performances: Tuesday – Saturday at 8:00 PM; Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 PM
• Credits: RAIN original members: Steve Landes, Joey Curatolo, Joe Bithorn and Ralph Castelli. RAIN is acknowledged to be the first, longest running, and most successful Beatles tribute show in the world. RAIN started back in 1975 as an original band that also loved to play the music of the Beatles. They developed a huge following of Beatles fans around the Los Angeles/Orange County area. Word got to producer Dick Clark who was so impressed with the authenticity of their sound that he hired them to do the entire soundtrack to his film "The Birth Of The Beatles".
