Summer is in FULL swing! Echos of “I’m BORED” can be heard throughout the halls of the Slusser house. My 8 and 5 year old are always overjoyed when a package arrives at our door and this week the package was for THEM!
Fruity Pebbles cereal sent me two boxes of cereal to share with my kids, including a toy kit from YOXO ® to make our cereal box into a rocking guitar.
My kids were excited to find another way to “upcycle” our trash, as this is something that they love to do anyway!
While my 8 year old read the directions, her brother helped her collect all the items they needed to make a stellar air guitar! It was great seeing my kids working together.
Later that afternoon I made them a quick snack so they could taste their treat! This is a special treat in our household as this is not a brand that I usually purchase. My daughter, always the smart one in the family read the box and reported, that it only had 9 grams of sugar per serving was was MUCH less sugar than the ice cream that we ate the day before. She very convincingly suggested that we should mix up our treats with new items like this.
The Fruity Pebbles yogurt parfait was SIMPLE to make and they LOVED something new for a treat!
I started with a handful of blueberries at the bottom of the cup, a layer of plain yogurt, a layer of the cereal, another of the yogurt and topped it all with a sprinkling of the colorful cereal The kids loved the sweetness and the crunch. Mom and dad loved it as a great snack, that my husband also commented was gluten-free!
